Sophia Loving and Living Her own Story By A. E. Hotchner

I picked this book up at the library, Sophia Loren has been a household name in my family since I can remember. To me she is one of the world's most beautiful women. I was intrigued by her life story and there fore looked forward to reading this bio. Sophia shares with us her humble upbringing in Italy and her own family struggles during the war and how her career got started.Unlike most Hollywood stars Sophia really had to work to get the roles she did and had to learn English to get her American roles. The book is a wonderful story of an awesome actress who literally came from nothing and became one of Hollywood's original diva's
Some of my favorite parts of the book were her own tips on shopping for clothes and beauty tips. and the book wouldn't be complete with out her cooking tips as well. Rating:A
Here is one of my favorite photos of Sophia from her one of her films.

Farwell to the Tudors, Hello Borgias

Well it's offical the Tudors are now over. That doesn't mean I won't be revisitng them from time to time.In order to brush up on my history on the Borgia's I will have to start reading what ever I can about them. I am going to start with The Family by Mario Puzo.It has been sitting on my book shelf since I ordered it from paperback swap.I wonder how many others will be reading this book to get ready for the new series. If you plan to read this book or any books about the Borgia's please feel free to leave a comment.

A Royal Pain By Rhys Bowen

Georgie has been asked by the Queen to host Princess Hannilore of Bavaria and perhaphs introduce her to the Prince of Wales to get him away from the "American" Woman.

But Princess Hanni has only one think on her mind Sexy Hot men. After all the Princess has been locked away in a convent for most of her life. Georgie has her hands full with the princess and then there are two deaths that Gerogie and the Princess happend the be on the scene when they happend. Will Georgie be able to solve this case and get the Princess safely back home before someone elese is murdered?

My Thoughts:

A Royal Pain was alot of fun to read The princess was hilarious with her gangster language and her hunt for Sexy men. I actually felt sorry for Georgie if it was me I would have put that girl back on the next plane home. Wallis Simpson and Georgie exchange a few lines in this book as well. The Princess Elizabeth also is mentioned in this bookanother fascinating mystery for cozy mystery and royalty fans to enjoy!
