At the King's Pleasure By Kate Emerson

Sumamry:Married to one man. Desiring another. Beautiful Lady Anne Stafford, ladyin- waiting to Queen Catherine of Aragon, is torn between her love for her husband, George, Lord Hastings . . . and the king’s boon companion, the attentive Sir William Compton. But when King Henry VIII, amorous as always, joins the men clustering around her, Anne realizes she has become perilously enmeshed in the intrigues of the court. Will she be forced to decide between the two men she desires—and the one she doesn’t?Kate Emerson charms again with a heroine who steps out of the pages of history to win our hearts in this sumptuous novel of Tudor scandal and intrigue.
My Thoughts:
This was a enjoyable read I realy enjoyed the part about her being in a nunnery.I found Anne to be a strong woman but the men in her life were really childish always willing to accuse of her of one thing or another. Made me want to reach through the book and smack thema round a bit.
another great book from Emerson.

Movie of the month: Gun Powder, treason and plot

Sorry it took me til Febuary to get to this Movie of the mon th things have been a little bit crazy around here. This is the best movie I have seen on Mary Queen of Scots in a long time the costumes were awesome and the movie was very entertaining.  I would suggest watching this one right after Elizabeth with Cate Blachett the watch the Golden Age.
